The CIMMYT Genetic Resources Center (GRC) maintains a large collection of maize and wheat germplasm at the center's Gene Bank. Part of the GRC's operation is to distribute requested seeds to cooperators. This project will hope to facilitate the seed distribution workflow, from the receipt of request to the actual shipment operation of the center.
Current Distribution System
Two systems are used to facilitate nursery and seed distribution in CIMMYT -- Wheat International Nursery System (WINS) and International Maize Testing System for wheat and maize respectively.
