Which Eclipse IDE

Use the latest version for the 3.5 release from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/.

1. It is recommended to use the 'Eclipse for RCP/Plug-in Developers' package.
   1. Windows user should use the Win 32bit version
   2. Mac version 10.5.x (and older) users should use Carbon 32bit verison
   3. Mac version 10.6.x (and newer) users should use Cocoa 64bit verison
   4. Linux users can use either 32bit or 64bit depending on their OS
2. Use the 'Help -> Install New software' menu item in Eclipse to install the following updates
   1. Subclipse - http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.6.x
   2. Maven Integration for Eclipse - http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/update/ if using Maven for non-rcp projects
   3. EMF, EMF Common, EMF XSD, EMF Edit - From the Gailieo update site.
